Can I Claim

Hi Guys I'm a newbie to mse, and so far have not really thought about it to any great depth, but I am curious if I can claim for misselling of PPI I had on a car loan from Black horse that I took out way back in July 2001, that was paid off early in Januray 2003. I have a copy of the credit agreement, with account number on it, along with the amount and borrowed including the cost of the the "Gold" PPI, but I dont have the T&C's of the cover any more.
The loan was arranged through the car dealer and the cover was just part of the sales patter at the time, being somewhat younger at the time and perhaps not fully versed in such matters, I just took out the PPI ( afterall all I was interested in at the time was the shiney car i was trying to acquire at the time ) I work for the NHS, and did so at the time, so have good sick pay conditions through that,( 6 months full, 6 months half ) hence my query really, as it subseuqently has dawned on me that the ppi presumably wouldnt have kicked in.
just after some initial thoughts, and realise that its quite some time ago, and beyond the 6 years figure I have seen banded about in other posts.

Hi there, look here for reasons for mis sell

Use any of these that apply to you with those you gave above.
You need to send this to the car dealer in the first instance,if they are no longer trading you need to contact the FOS who may suggest the insurer route.
It would not hurt to do a claim to Lloyds too,you may not get anywhere with this, but you dont know until you try.

They will do this over the phone, you only need the account number and the reasons for mis sell.0 -
thanks for the reply, will look into it0
