Sorry for being thick, but what else would I need to make them work via my HD LCD tv?

I'm guessing an amp (what type?) and a lead to connect the amp to the tv (what type?)

    Thanks, in advance.

You need something like this (there will be cheaper options, but this was the first I could lay my hands on)...

Then simply connect from your TV RCA/Phono output (or even Scart), into the amp using a cable like this...

blimey, less than a minute ago I was looking at this very amp - perhaps we are telepathetic?

PS Mine was £79.95 too (plus 1600 odd Boots points and Quidco - cheers)

The sony would be a great option, it's even cheaper if picked up in store too (£99.99 if I remember correctly)

    Hi

Before i splash out would something with this spec work with the speaker set?

400W 5 channel HIFI surround power amplifier with remote control - 400 Watt max power.

This product changes your usual living room into a cinema with a superb sound quality!

    • Music power: 2x45 + 3x12 Watt RMS
    • Music power rms on 4 Ohm: 126 Watt
    • Music power rms on 8 Ohm: 200 Watt
    • Frequency area 20-20.000Hz
    • Loudspeaker power 4-16 Ohm
    • Stereo-PCA-inputs for VCD/Tuner/TAPE/AC-3 + 5.1
    • Karaoke function over 2x microphone inputs, jack 6,3mm with sound, volume and echo stabilizer
    • BxHxT: 430x70x340mm
    • inkl. IR-remote control

By the way, is there an easy way for me to do this - ie should I be looking for an amp with a minimum power? ...last question honest!
