Draughty Double Glazing Patio Door

We had a new double glazed patio door fitted just over a year ago but I've noticed a problem with it being really draughty. The side that opens is very draughty at the bottom and the other panel is quite draughty and I can really feel the cold coming in. That side of the room also feels considerable colder than the other side. I guess its a bit late to go back to the double glazer now, but does anyone have any suggestions how I can make it airtight? Or should I get some sort of window doctor? The windows themselves look fine though. I can't see any gaps but there is quite a breeze coming through, seems mostly underneath the wooden flooring at the patio door, its possible there wasn't any insulation added. I believe we do have wall insulation that was put in when the house was built but not sure if this should be topped up or is sufficient? House was built early 80's.

The upstairs is lovely and warm its just a shame the downstairs isn't! Any suggestions welcome :o

  • Give the original suppliers a call; it's probably adjustable, in which case it's a 5-minute job and good PR to do it.
