To generalise against people because they drive a particular make of car is absolute nonsense.

I think the generalising is that certain people, when driving certain cars, turn into complete pr1cks...... In just the same way that when promoted, some people make good managers and some people become complete wank3rs.

Would you prefer that the generalisation was always in their favour perhaps?

Actually, just as you can tell a lot about the owner of a dog by just looking at the dog, or even at the owner's shoes, so you can tell quite something about an owner by looking at their car. Granted that the make by itself is usually not enough, but in this case there are other clues to the personality of the offending driver and it is not unusual to experience the same behaviour from BMW drivers be they in a road hogging inadequate X3 or a blacked windows older model cruising with 4 males up. A nice late model full spec £50K+ example could be taken two ways e.g. "I am valued and successful somethingcorporate" or "I just have loadsamoney and incidentally a bigger kick-a$$ insurance policy - so sue me you pleb". More likely the latter though in a BMW :p

Or perhaps more often than not "I want to look like im one of the above, when actually im in debt upto my eyeballs and balancing 8 different credit cards.

By far the very worst attitudes I encounter always seem to be those driving <24 month old Range Rover's or Disco's..... Hammering their vehicles like they're sports cars, always on the lookout for someone who might try to overtake them. I guess having spent stupid money to feel like "king of the road", they see the red mist if someone tries to topple their crown.

Think twice before tacling one of these, you just never know who is driving and a fair proportion might very well not be Lord Tidleypom ;).

    Pick your battles with care.

Or perhaps you shouldn't judge a book by it's cover?

    5t.
What if there was no such thing as a rhetorical question?
  • To be honest, I hate stereotyping but the drivers of certain models of Audi and BMWs seem to be complete !!!!!!.

I only let my opinions grow through experience, and the rule I've found is any BMW apart from the 1 series and most larger Audis are driven by absolute ****s.

    Just my experience, though!

Still a generalisation though no matter which way you dress it up.

How about this then? Why not judge the individual on a stand alone basis on their own actions!

You tell all sorts of things about an individual by looking at their dog, cat, house, car, the way they dress etc etc but all you are coming up with is an assessment of an individual and nothing more.

You are obviously on a mission to post the most claptrap on MSE and so far you are well on course to achieving that, judging by some of your recent posts in this thread and others,:D

Having seen a few of your videos that is really funny talking about the attitude of other drivers on the road when your own attitude is, at best, suspect.
