Tesco Dell Broken Laptop - Can it be returned?!

Options
Hi there! Wondering if any of you can help, over Christmas some heavy handed person dropped my laptop, it has a few marks but nothing major I don't think. It has crashed a few times since then. The thing is it's under 12 months old & I know it's under warranty with Tesco until March/April Does anyone know if I can return it for a new one? The website isn't clear & I can't afford to buy another one. It does say that after 6 months you have to prove that it was broke from the time you had it? Mega confused so if someone could help & clear it up I'd be most grateful :)

  • No....claim on your household insurance if you have accidental cover. This is not a warranty issue.

warranty does not cover accidental damage - so your warranty will not over anything as the item has been dropped.

you have no entitlement to a refund (incase the above sentence didn't make that clear)

It's under warranty against breakdown not under warranty for some idiot dropping it.

Claim for it under your house contents insurnace.

Even if it had just broken down your rights would be a repair, replace or refund. If it went in for repair someone would soon spot that it had been dropped.
