I've been working for Hawkin's Bazaar who is now insolvent, in a temporary fixed-term contract before Christmas. I wasn't given clear dates on when my employment ends, was told it's a temporary Christmas job and may lead to a permanent job depending on my employer's decision. I worked a total of 1 month and nearing the end of the contract I received a less than 1 week notice. Received the letter on the 22nd. The letter's dated 20th December, the stamp on the envelope says 21st December, and my last employed date was 24th December though 23rd December was when I did my last hourly shifts.
The letter says "Unfortunately the Company does not have any further work for you beyond that date nor does it have suitable alternative positions at this point in time. Therefore, your employment with the Company will terminate on the above date as per your temporary fixed-term contract."
Employer's hq is in England and I had been working in a Scotland branch.
During my employment period and to this date, I haven't been paid a single penny.
On the RP1 form it asks if I'm claiming for redundancy. Do I mark yes or no? On the back of the form it says if I haven't been working for more than 2 years I'm entitled to nothing if I am claiming for redundancy.
This is also my first job and I haven't yet received my P45 back. Do I phone up the company to ask for it?

As you have found, you are not entitled to redundancy so I would assume that you mark no. You are certainly entitled to your wages for the time you worked, whether you are entitled to any pay in lieu of notice depends on whether you were employed for more or less than a month (unless your contract specifies a particular notice period):
The minimum notice period you are entitled to is:- after one month’s continuous service, but less than two years: one week’s notice
