Actively seeking out a product that has been displayed wrong, just to get a voucher, seems like a bit of an underhanded way to play the system, regardless of their policy. If people weren't going to buy the product anyway they shouldn't be doing it just because of this.
does it really matter? if the asda price is incorrect why shouldn't people benefit from it?
You shall learn after being here for a while, anything goes when dealing with the supermarkets :rotfl:
Don't worry, Asda will more than make up the losses of all the 2 pounds with what they make from people who don't notice being over charged on hundreds of other products0 -
I have never had a gift card from Asda despite going to CS re overcharge.
I rarely shop in Tesco so have never had DTD.
Do Sainsbury have a similar policy, as I seem to be overcharged at least once a week there. If they do they certainly don't advertise it!!~ What goes around comes around ~0 -
thank you for clarifying that everyone. i didnt want to go in with the express purpose of buying poppadoms just to get £2: I check my receipt and tot up savings/how much OH has to pay (!) every week anyway and it's good for me to start to check it against the display price: I just didn't realise you could complain and ask for compensation when its wrong. If I tot up someone's finances wrongly in my job as a support worker I could get the sack and would always face questions about it, there is no reason why large companies like tesco and asda should not also find that there are consequences to making numerical errors and strive for accuracy! think how much extra they are making even when overcharging by such a small amount: a £2 giftcard to the people who have the courage to complain would probably still leave them quids in!0

This was my first complaint about overcharging and so first time i received a £2 giftcard for it. I learnt about it on this site recently
I've not been able to find it on their website (some websites have expired links to where it used to be but noone can find it now)
The first thing i said at desk was "do you still do the £2 compensation for customers who are overcharged?". Once she said "yes" i told her i was overcharged 2p and so she couldnt really refuse me the £2 because she didnt say there were any conditions or discretion attachedApparently, everybody knows that the bird is [strike]the word[/strike] a moorhen0 -
Can I just ask with the Asda Price Guarantee does it work on your online shopping as I have never bothered with it to be honest as I only buy the CHEAPEST things on offer and doubt very much T's would work out 10% cheaper as I only scour for the absolute bargains at A
Aau can I ask , to get over 40 quids worth of APG vouchers do you have to purposly pick items which are more expensive at T's , coz I don't bother with that either! lol :rotfl:
If you get an APG for an online shop it has to be used against another online shop. You wouldnt be able to use it instore
I got £40 of apgs through sheer luckApparently, everybody knows that the bird is [strike]the word[/strike] a moorhen0
