Solid brick house-thermal wall insulation on a roll

Hi,
Has anyone got experience of SEMPATAP THERMAL. We suffer with condensation/mould on outside corners of sold brick 30's house. It is on a roll and as easy as wallpaper to apply. It can be decorated with emulsion, wallpaper, tiles - virtually anything. Very pricey at £170 per roll (12.5m x 1m); need to possibly also buy their sealants, adhesive, edging tape.

Have you used this, how did it perform, is it expensive for the results it gives.
Many thanks.

  • I'm interested to know of people have any experience of this too. Just in the process of buying a Victorian house in need of complete renovation... has an energy efficiency rating of 6!

    Thanks n advance,

    IMO forget it

Best results = knock the plaster off (Or leave it on, you will lose an inch or so in the room though) stud partition all exterior and party walls, with 2x2 or 3x2 and push 200mm mineral insulation inbetween the studs then board and skim/ T+J over. (You can add a layer of chipboard behind the board if you want to beef it up)
Put the wool in the ceiling, floor and partition wall gaps as well

The above is only worth doing during a renovation though, messy as hell, but it turns a cold old Victorian property into a newbuild overnight
