Residential support scheme

Hi there
I'm not sure if I'm posting in the correct place but it seemed to fit better than any of the other boards.
We are in the process of applying for financial support through the residential support scheme, to help pay for the cost of our daughters accomodation costs whilst at college.
I know we qualify as we have a household income of less than 21k, but just wondered if anyone knows what proportion of her rent we are likely to get covered by the scheme?
Thanks

It depends whether she's studying in London or not.

Thanks for that olderbutwiser, but what I really meant was the proportion of the rent that would be covered by the award, i.e her rent is £115 per week, so how much of that would be paid by the scheme? I know we qualify as our income is below the threshold.
Sorry, I'm not very good at explaining myselfDebt free Olympic Contender # 134DMP Mutual Support Thread member # 250DMP March 2010 [STRIKE]£9786 [/STRIKE] now £9900 -
Sorry, you've lost me.
That link gives the actual amount she'll receive (£3,458 outside, £4,079 in London) so I don't quite understand what you mean about what proportion of her rent will be covered.0 -
she will get the full grant(as above)and be able to claim the full student loan, plus depending on which uni the full bursary, how she uses this money is upto her0

Ah, ok
I had read somewhere that it would be awarded on a proportional basis, which I mistakenly took to mean that they would pay a proportion of the full amount.
Thanks for your replies
