Tfl CCTV parking enforcement

Options
Does anybody know what the rules are regarding the notification of a parking issue spotted by CCTV?

I have received a notice saying that I did not respond to the previous notice within 28 days and increasing the parking fine. I received no previous notice and this is the first that I have heard of it. If I had received such a notice I would have been on it faster than a rat up a drainpipe!

I had no idea that there would be any issue as I was parked in a whole group of other vehicles and displaying a disabled badge as well. In this case have they taken too long to notify me of any issue?

  • Who is the notice from? If it's a private company, ignore it. If it's from TfL (didn't know they did parking enforcement) or a council, they get yourself over to pepipoo and post there.

they will ticket you for stopping in a yellow box , on a red line area and also for pulling into a bus lane. They must be able to produce the CCTV still pictures though

Yep, and if it is TFL then the OP should be assured that most people win at adjudication because TFL postal PCNs are flawed in their wording. The OP would need to ask for a copy of that PCN though as part of their representations against the Enforcement Notice.

pnmehjay, get over to pepipoo and get advice on your appeal asap:

Do not rely on the flawed PCN argument alone of course, there may be other things and pepipoo posters will help you find them.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
