Can anybody recommend an insurer for newly passed drivers I have tried confused.com and the quidco options but they are still quite pricey. Its for my friend she is 36 and will be driving a 2000 Ford Ka 1.3

I've done mine through swinton since I passed (august 2005) because they've brought me up the best quote each time even when I changed cars. It's a second car policy with provident insurance and on a 1.4 corsa it's costing £28 a month including breakdown cover. Might be worth a try, I deliberately looked up the insurance groups for cars before I got my new one, I was driving a 1.1 1991 fiesta which was group 5 and went to a 98 corsa 1.4 which is only group 3!
I'm 30 by the way.Smokefree since 27-9-20070
