PPI for Deceased?

Can anyone help?
My Grandfather recently passed and he was kind of traditional in that all the finance and banking etc was in his name, he has since passed and we have changed thiseverything over to to my grandmother name, however when going through his documents we have found two loans where PPI is confirmed on both.
At the time the loans were taked out my grandparents were pensioners, had paid their morgage and had no need for PPI and I know he would not have agreed to pay PPI, so I storngly believe he was mis-sold!
As he is deceased and the loans were finished, prior to his passing and as all documentation was in his name, is my grandmother eligable to reclaim the PPI?
Can any one answer this please as all that I read relates to if I were the claimant and I've been unable to locate any information with regards to next of kin claim on behalf of a decease partner.
I appreciate any feedback or suggestions you might be able to lend.
