npower refund cheque with no payee name

Payee box is full of asterisks and bank won't accept a name written over those. Cheque is a/c payee only so no changes allowed.0

well that stops that then.
Last cheque I got from a company that had nothing in the payee box, I phoned up and the person told me just to fill in my name.0
