npower refund cheque with no payee name

Anyone else had a refund cheque from npower with no name on it!?
Bank won't accept it - npower say they know of about 7,000 cases and will send replacements but don't know when...

Why don't you just put your name on it?

Payee box is full of asterisks and bank won't accept a name written over those. Cheque is a/c payee only so no changes allowed.

well that stops that then.

Last cheque I got from a company that had nothing in the payee box, I phoned up and the person told me just to fill in my name.
