Thomann are £10 cheaper than amazon on some gear I want. I guess the price difference is now tiny now the UK government have trashed the pounds value. Anyway, what concerns me about buying from Thomann is this from their Ts and Cs:

3.The customer shall bear the routine costs of returning the merchandise provided the goods have been delivered as thomann ordered and the price of the return merchandise does not exceed EUR 40.00 or in case of merchandise valued at more than EUR 40.00, if at the time of cancelation the customer has not performed as stipulated (not having made the contractually agreed payment). Otherwise Musikhaus Thomann e.K. thomann shall bear the costs of returning the merchandise. “Free-Way coupons” are available for this purpose (there is no requirement to assume the costs of returning merchandise in case of a return; when returning merchandise without a Free-Way coupon we request that you refrain from using express delivery or thomann delivery where postage is not prepaid). In case merchandise is unsuitable for shipment by parcel post, we will commission a forwarding agent to pick up the merchandise. Musikhaus Thomann e.K. regrets not to be able to carry the shipping costs for return shipments from foriegn countries

So the above 40 EUR sounds good but them they say the above!

Has anyone tried returning anything to them? One could easily spend £20 posting equipment to them!

    Hey,
This is not 100% related to the topic, but I wanted to ask what do you think about Thomann products like "Thomann MK III Handmade Tenor Sax" I am interested in buying this but I can not find any discussions about whether I should or shouldn´t buy it. It is a lot cheaper that most of the brands, but does it also mean it is worse.

I can't comment on their own brand instruments but we have used their own brand speakers and DI boxes and not had any problem with the equipment or the supplier.

I recommend too. I bought a tenor sax from them several years ago - excellent. I'm not a professional musician though, just a happy amateur!
