There would be a lot of people caught out on Lloyds as it had a very impressive yield, which may have been cut a little but was still well covered and then it was coerced into swallowing that poison pill. The rank and file who did a bit of homework and thought they were getting a little ahead of the curve were truly screwed over on this one.0

Lloyds wanted to take over HBOS for years but couldnt due to competition requirements.
Turns out sometimes the things you are told not to do are for your own good. They did have their own troubles with PPI and also Lloyds is half the size of HBOS so will take a while for them to turn it
BNC is a spanish quoted share listed here so also relys on Euro worth, its a year low now0 -

Out of interest, in what way has "the company has in principle started trading"? I'm not aware of it. It's bust. Dead. Even if the name lived on, the shareholders will never see a penny again. Why should they?
It is government owned, but its still trading..I can't post any links on here, but still type bradford and bingley into google and you will see the evidence there..0 -

As Bradford & Bingley's shareholders were unable to meet the liabilities of the business themselves their shares are worthless and that value won't be reinstated at any time.0 -
Thats why people buy sell. If he had bought them back he could now write off the purchase price presuming you have 20k of profit elsewhere this year?
I think that explains why bb or others has buyers just before they get shut down. Its a free bet set against tax0
