Thanks for the warning.
I had no idea fraudsters were allowed on ebay.
Now that you have kindly warned me, I will be very careful in future.

silkysmooth. Phones are a minefield not primarily because of the 419 scammers but more importantly because Royal mail will not insure a phone worth over £32 if it is shipped abroad. I would hope most sellers would be aware of that now, but I'm sure they are not.
With phones it is almost as important to beware of the Royal mail than to beware of scams. Scams are obvious and can be easily avoided, the Royal mail rules and regs cannot.

Looking at your link buyer and seller look dodgy so I wouldn't worry too much about them

You forgot to start with [sarcasim] and finish with [/sarcasim]

Have to agree with avoriaz, i too had no idea that were people on ebay scamming others.
Could the OP give the names of all the scammers on ebay so we can look out for them.
maybe the OP could start a campaign to help remove these people from ebay.

Maybe Ziggy Stardust's Spiders from Mars will act as lookouts; they should know what they look like

For those of us to whom Nigerian scams aren't old news, please see the second post on this thread for good information!

The first post is quite handy too.My TV is broken!
Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
Is it really necessary for certain posters to take the !!!! out of people who are just trying to be helpful?
It makes them look a lot more small minded and petty than it makes the OP look foolish.
Remember, just because they have not insignificant post counts doesn't mean they're familiar with this particular forum (and, yes, I'm sure you knew that already so why not act on it?).0 -

I was about to say exactly the same thing although I would have probably said it less elloquently...
This place is not welcoming with all the negativity, petty arguing, and snide comments. This forum has the potential to be a very interesting, informative place but there are a few who are intent on driving out everyone else so they can keep it for their own silly games.
I, for one, am not going to stick around and observe this childish behaviour any longer.
Well done. With all of my dietary restrictions, I'm left with lipstick and water0 -

What is the search facility for?????
If people are unaware of potenial issues there are plenty of posts on here giving advice. There are also plenty of posts reitterating what has been said a thousand times before. All it does by reposting is take up server space."Success is not to be measured by the position someone has reached in life, but the obstacles he has overcome while trying to succeed." Booker T.
