Virgin Blunder

Over the last couple of days Virgin have introdued their new services. I have discovered a few errors in their pricing policies for installation.
It claims that for new customers installation costs £25 but existing customers pay £75 if they do not wish to keep their original box for an extra £5 per month. I have highlighted this to them tonight and they have agreed to reduce my installation fee... however i have just read the terms and conditions of the V+ service and it states that installation for new customers is free. I have now sent them an email demanding they install my service for free. I am awaiting a response, but in the meantime i think that anyone interested in this service should follow my lead and contest the installation charges.

i have been in touch with virgin again and have been given a full refund on installation charges as their terms and conditions for V+ states that new customers do not pay for installation. they basically looked at the same web page as i was viewing and had no choice but to agree that i was correct. £75 saving for me. be quick if you want this service as i am sure they will amend their website very soon.

What kind of box is this for? could you post a link please and give a little more information, is this a standard box or the one that records? More info would be great0

This is for the V+ box, basically an improved version of Sky+, improvement being it has three tuners, so it can record 2 channels while watching a third

They are also giving out some duff information on here :-

In answer to the question "Can I get a personal video recorder?" they answer NO for Freeview. This is false. Several manufacturers make Freeview PVRs, including Topfield and Humax. This may be a genuine mistake and I hope they correct it.
On a similar note, there are reports of Sky sales personnel (the sort that set up a pitch in a town centre) telling people that when the analogue TV service is closed down the only way you will be able to receive digital TV is via Sky.What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0
