Conservatory woes

For reasons that will become apparant, I dont want to be too specific yet, but consumer advice will be appreciated.
Having had an extremely expensive conservatory fitted about 3 years ago, my suppliier is still trying to stop a roof leak...nine visits so far!
I now intend to pursue a compensation claim through the small claims court based on a percentage of the purchase price. The supplier bases all adverts on being 'the best' and while I paid a price that would reflect that, I dont think the experience has matched the expectation!
Comments appreciated.

Well, I thought there would be some guidance or thoughts out there.

I think this is probably an area that really needs to be taken to a solicitor or maybe even CAB as a first, just to get your legal rights in this matter sorted. Many house insurance policy's have legal cover which you can use for free. I think the problem you have here is not that you have a leak but the guy is fixing it which may go in his favour and not yours. Get some legal advice as well as that is this guy a member of a trade thingy ( sorry the word has totally escaped me) as they maybe able to give you more advice and help. good luck i know how annoying it is when you have a leak that just wont be fixed, had a similar problem with my neighbours chimney leaking into my bathroom. I ended up sending my brother up who is a builder to fix it at my expense as i was stick and tried of the problem, at least it sorted it. Good luck.0

I think you are right insofar as the CAB may be best for advice.
The suppliers ( who have a bl**dy big mountain named after them) are undertaking the repair each time and have shown no reluctance to attend, which is reassuring. It is the inconvenience and dissapointment that gripes most.

I think the best thing to do is ask them why you have to keep calling them out. Is it down to poor installation or poor repairs / materials or incompetent staff, for example. It may be worth obtaining a report from a third party to get their opinion and present that to the court and to Everest (Ooops! Named them). If the court agrees with it, then you will be able to claim cost of report back, as well as cost of any repairs that should have resolved the problems, plus damages. As previously advised, you will be best off with a solicitor or other suitable legal advice to assist you. This forum is not the place for it.Don't bother trying to sue me - I've got no money!0
