It does happen. EAs can be maggots.

Try and put a positive spin on it.
It's a buyers mrket at the moment (well - where we live anyway!).
Get out there and put some ridiculuous offers in on properties for sale. You'll probably find something much nicer and better value for money.

I make my living from buying property, and actually the agent is between a rock and a hard place here.
He is obliged to fully market the property right to exchange, with viewings right up to the last minute. The reposessor/bank is obliged to secure the best price for the property - irrespective of the wishes of the agent and will take the best offer available.
Once a price is agreed, the marketing will continue, and a final notice issued in the papers, whereupon a lat minute rush of speculative and often uninformed offers will burst forth. All of which must be assessed.
Don't assume a repo is either cheap or straightforward. I actually now avoid them as the success rate is so low.
The above advice is right, move on, you haven't been done by the agent, they were never fully in control.
  • If the agent has been messing aroung they would lose all the future repo's.

Most agents a terrifed of losing that amount of business, as such tend to do everything by the book.

The bank is on there back at least once a week, Or worse still the bank will out-source to a repo company. They don't take any messing from agents.
