Survey questions on conservatory - update from solicitor please help!

It does not need planning permission as it is in the permitted guidelines. Whether it needed building control approval is a grey area as I believe they are claiming that they built the conservatory within permitted guidelines and then later removed the internal doors. I believe it definitely did need approval but it is too late now for them to do anything as there is now an indemnity policy in place and my solicitor and the lender are happy with this.
We may put some doors back on in the time we live there which will mean it can be considered as a conservatory again and seek approval if required ourselves but we plan to live there for several years.
Now we have it confirmed from our surveyor and their solicitor that there are no structural implications our solicitor is happy for us to proceed.0
