    Lindisfarne IS Holy Island....

    Did you mean the Castle?

Yes, I had mentioned Bamburgh Castle, someone mentioned Holy Island and so when I said Lindisfarne I meant Lindisfarne Castle.

What about across the road at the Priory? could you have the wedding ceremony there and then move down to Crusoes? (once we...sorry you, i feel like we are all involved, solve the it being too big issue)
I think Crusoes is so perfect for you i really want you to have it!!

I looked into being married at the Priory but was told it's no longer a licenced venue.

I really want Crusoes too :T I'm sure it won't be too big, once we've got the signing frame on a table, another table for the cake, an area for the photo booth :j so it's our number one venue at the moment, just need to tie in the wedding ceremony and we're done.

The Grand will be lovely, you're really lucky, and so picturesque too.
Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....
  • Thanks it is a fab location.
Have you asked Crusoe's where people would normally marry who have their reception there? I take it from your options above that you dont want a registry office?

We've looked at http://www.northtyneside.gov.uk/browse-display.shtml?p_ID=516011&p_subjectCategory=589 which we think is a possibility, so a registry office isn't out of the question, just would prefer something else (but no idea why :rotfl:).

But good news is we HAVE decided on Crusoes. We love it, have coffee there, walk the dog nearby, it is really so 'us' and is everything that we want our wedding reception to be. So a big :Tyey:T for that.

Yeah! We aren't 'cool' enough for Crusoes.... I'm not really sure what kite surfing involves lol so pleased someone better suited is having it!! H2b likes to think he's a bit Australian n it reminded him of that kind of vibe... Bet it will look amazing with lanterns or candle bags on the decking.... Any hoos will have a look at your link and have another think of actual ceremony venue. What's your max distance to travel?

Oh just looked at link I've seen a few Facebook friends' wedding pics there, didn't realize it was reg office! It's nice! Pics look good on the 'deck/balcony' bit

I know, we're not allowed candles inside so will source some battery operated tealights, I am also looking at a sign to go in the sand kinda like a surfboard saying Wedding This Way, to greet the guests at the bottom of the ramp

yeah looks really good, as far as registry offices go.

Park Hotel have called me today and they can offer a room for the ceremony for £100.00 and another room for drinks and canapes after for 2-3 hours for another £100.00 and canapes at £10 per person so it's looking like that's where it will be :T Going tomorrow to have look at the two rooms, but it feels as though it's coming together.
