FTB - Making an offer?

Hi

I have seen a house tiday thats on the market at offers over 115k. I was thinkign on making a cheeky offer of 115k - What do you think?

115k is really my max i can go with the mortgage ect.. its top end plus ill need to spend a 1-2k inside. What is the process of making an offer, do you sign something? just make a phone call and make a verbal off? What terms am i bound by if the mortgage is declined.. I have the AIP now.

  • 115 isnt a cheeky offer, thats the price they want.

95 is more like a cheeky offer.

    Have you viewed the house?

If you have, and you want to buy, phone the estate agent and make an offer over the phone, they'll either say yes or no, if they say yes, you get surveys and such done, if they say no, you make a better offer or look elsewhere.

    I've been Money Tipped!
How does that price compare to sold similar properties?

Aim to start lower then you have room to negotiate

Just to check - are you in Scotland? Things can be different there and people tend to assume England/Wales unless specified otherwise.
