Hi, we;re looking to go abroad on 3rd august for 10 nights to majorca or somewhere about 2 hours flying distance, can anyone recommend anywhere on a budget? we have been quoted over £3000 by most places it is ridiculous how they can put their prices up so steep in the kids school holidays!
Thanks in advance for any info!

or what about something like Siblu / canvas / Eurocamp etc to Spain, france,Italy ?

Siblu are fantastic! We always go with them - their accommodation compared to the rest is huge and the cost is cheaper for some reason. We have been to Italy and the South of France. however, you may have problems if you want the top notch accommodation as it tends to get booked up really early, but if you are flexible, there is bound to be something and it will be cheaper! We are going on 21 August for 2 weeks in the top mobile home to the South of France and including a ferry crossing (which we cancelled and got 60 quid back as we are flying now) it is costing just ove r1500 pounds. If you drive, all you need to add on is the cost of the petrol and any tolls depending on the country you go to. We tend to drive overnight but have stopped off in basic hotels which we have booked independently on the web in advance. We go for hotels with a family room and they cost anything between 40 pounds upwards some including breakfast. It is great as it gives you freedom to travel at your own pace and see other places en route.
The last couple of years though we have flown with a budget airline and to be honest, with the check in times etc, it isn't much quicker than driving!!0 -
You could fly from Blackpool to Gerona, Northern Spain for £744 ( current prices), then stay at camping Cypsela on the coast which is fantastic and was voted one of the best camp sites in europe. We have camped at many sites and this is up with the best. !0 nights would cost around £1100 in a mobile home, then hire a station wagon for around £200 from the airport pick-up.
Total cost for you all is around £2044 which leaves you plenty of cash to have two days at port aventura, which if you removed one nights stay in the camp site and stayed in a theme hotel would be even better!
The area around this region is superb and with the car you can explore on day trips to coves, etc.
Hope this helps you with your ideas.0 -
Costa Brava is my favourite part of Spain. Another great site is Castel Montgri (L'Estartit). On a hill, but facilities are great for families.0

Perhaps fly https://www.bmibaby.co.uk from Birmingham to Marseille, hire a car and accommodation through http://www.quidco.com/camping-life/ and http://www.chooseacottage.co.uk/partners/CRP/regions/regions-languedoc-roussillon.asp La Petite CamarguePosts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0
