Told them I couldn't afford the rise and that during the summer I would be £100's in credit but in their bank account. They get the interest not us,totally unfair. I said keep dd as it was or I would cancel so they got nothing and wait for the bill to come, pay that and then change to another company. They said that at this time they would keep me at my original DD and they have.
Summer I'm in credit, I know after winter I owe them but they get it back over the summer (its in their bank not mine) I have a credited ammount at the beginning of winter. Its all swings and roundabouts and they should give a little leway the profits they post. Gas and electric prices went down at the begining of December but its only now that we might get a little benefit from it as the big ones are now begining to reduce their prices.
Make sure you've got the best deal. Get an online deal mine worked out about £100 cheaper but why I have to go to them to get the best deal I'll never understand as its all the same grade gas and electric, all using the same network, all bought at the same price. They should let us know whats cheapest and not have all these different tarriffs.Or just have 1 price for all it would save all the hassle.
They bought it for this, they are selling it to you for this, END OF, EASY.
When E-on announces its reducing its prices I'll have to go online, again, to make sure I've got the best deal. Then phone to verify it and change it.MAD.......I've better things to do with my time
Make sure you check whether OVO are cheaper for you - they pay you interest if you are in credit with them
Oh - and they are usually one of the first to reduce prices (they reduced last week, long before any of the big six announced AND they had a reduction about 18 months ago, when everyone else was increasing) 0
