Anyone doing phone jobs for tns and having a briefing today? Am on the phone hoping that the leader will join in the meeting and getting bored of the piped music..0

Has anyone who's on the posh car panel with TNS been allocated visits for the project next week? I was sent a test to do to see if I was suitable (as it's my first jobs on that particular panel) and haven't heard anything back.
Not sure if that's normal and they tell you last minute, or if everyone else knows and I'm not suitable?0 -

My briefing's on Monday...hope someone came along and you're not still holding on with just the pipe music for company0 -
For jobs completed in March but paid in April - does this go into the 2011/12 tax year or the 2012/13 ??0

Depends how you do your accounting - I always account on a receipts basis as I feel you can never be sure whether a company will pay. HMRC are happy with you doing it either way but need to be consistent through the year of course.0 -

Nothing happened after 15 min so I emailed tns to check it was right time etc. They emailed saying there were problems and I'd be emailed a new time and date. Tns are not the most organised it has to be said although I have done some all right jobs for them.0 -

As Kst101 says, it doesn't really matter as long as you're consistent. I go by date I did the job, purely because I don't keep track of when I get paid for jobs.0 -
Did you know you can get HMRC to take the tax you owe for any MSing direct from your PAYE pay the following year?
Yep but my profits go up and down like a yoyo, it is pretty easy to stick £20 a month away in a savings account, even easier if said bank is paying you while you do it ;-)0
