My spreadsheet does most of the work for me and I know what to put away each month so it won't be a shock come time to do the real thing.

Mind I've just got my PAYE job and MS income to deal with so it is pretty straight forward.

Did you know you can get HMRC to take the tax you owe for any MSing direct from your PAYE pay the following year?

The tax I owe from the 10/11 tax return which was submitted in January 2012 will be split up and taken monthly; starting this month and going to March 2013. They basically just adjust my tax code to give me slightly less of an allowance to compensate.

I'm in similar situation and can't decide what to do, whether to put aside some of my MS earnings per month into savings and then pay off in a lump sum at the end of the year, or have it deducted the following year. Part of me thinks I'll end up with less money if I do it the latter way, as I'll have bigger deductions... but this logically can't make sense.

Has anyone had anything of FIRST TRACKING with the trailer checks recently? Haven't had anything before Christmas, bit gutted!

Nope. Looks like the client no longer requires the data, or are looking for another company to give the contract to.
Mo-Fo's have been hinting that they have the contract haven't they?
I used to like that assignment too, especially when there was a big release.

I was only lucky enough to do one of them but I do enjoy the MS that FT do, simple, straightforward and a non-complicated report. Been strangely busy this week by my standards, only been back in the country 5 days and 2 of them I was ill for!

Will attempt my Gyp chicken report for the second time that I had a hissy fit about yesterday as it disappeared on me!

I signed up to REACT a while ago. I've now applied for two visits and in each case the visit has been allocated to someone else. This is not like other companies where you know that if you apply for a visit you'll be accepted. Is it worth sticking with REACT?

The problem with react is that they have their favorites.

You will get loads if your one of them, if not you get the scraps.

And it's even harder when you start out as you have no rating. I found React, Bare and Tern all difficult to get jobs on sassie with. I still dont get alot from Tern and React even though I have a decent rating with them. Like Misssarahleigh said... they have favourites.

You'll pay the same either way lol. Just taking it direct from PAYE means you only pay the exact amount and it doesn't rely on you remembering to put money aside and not touch it! I think I pay something like £20 a month extra tax so I barely notice it, especially since this year and next year we're getting a higher tax free allowance, so it kinda evens out.

Yup, people who pull stunts like this don't last long though, if I release anything then I always try and release it with plenty of time left for someone else to cover it.

I spent most of Tuesday completing jobs others couldn't do, all at a premium fee too. I never pick them up when they are released mind, just send an email to the allocator with my offer.
Yeah I think yesterday and today I have noticed 3 jobs reappear.

I've just accepted one that had been released but I didn't negotiate, should I have done?
I emailed to say I would do the job if the it was extended but did not hear anything back and noticed it had a few more days on it today so I took it.

Just hoping I am well now as I started with swollen eyes yesterday and they are worse today and have slight numbness in the left side of my face :(

Everything will be ok in the end, and if it isn't ok then it isn't the end :)
