    Bit of a rant. I have just done a bookies job for MF where I have to upload a picture of the front of the shop. Nowadays, most cameras have at least 3MP camera, mine has an 8MP. So why is their size limit for a photo 1MB!! I had to crop it right down to the bare bones and just about left the shopfront!

    Its a long standing thing with them, largely due to the VAST amount of photos they receive each year.

    Its easier to open the picture in MS Paint and decrease the size of the file using Resize/Skew.
    This was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.

    As NIM says, open the pic up in Paint and then stretch and skew it by 90%. Doddle.

    I compress pictures in MS Picture Manager and it makes them under the required levels.
    Here I go again on my own....

    I think you need to alter the resolution on the camera. I think 640x480 is ample of uploading shop front pics.

    I have photoshop cs5 mobile as daught is a photographer and it's perfect lol x crop and save at a fraction of the size x

    I use that shrink pictures thing on gapbuster

    If you want to shrink those pics try http://www.getpaint.net/index.html it's free and is easy to use, unless the MSC needs high quality pics then 800x600px is fine.

    Paint -> resize -> 50% :P
