A lot of us get notifications when an alert is posted, and it's very frustrating to log on and find out that it's not an alert, but something that should have been put on this thread.
Jeeze that is a big foot stamp from someone who hasn't made a contribution here for ages, mistakes happen live with it, I did.0 -

That is uncalled for from someone who has only been here for 5 minutes. Sorry I am with squidgeum here, how hard is it to post in the right place. We have had lots of alerts lately because people are careless. Trev could have sent a pm for the last one if he was so worried about a fee being mentioned, even though it was not even for an ms company and was in no way against the rules.0 -
Posh toy shop 4 days before my nephew's birthday. I think I shall!
Now all I need is a 'bloke' store tomorrow to sort out brother's birthday.0 -

Well I'm doing some pub head count jobs and Royal Mail have lost my counter!
They put a 'Sorry, you were out' card through my letterbox, went to collect it and they could not find it! They were supposed to call me back today... no call!!
Does anyone know where you can buy the hand tally counters on the high street?

Perhaps you could keep your offensive comments to yourself. They're uncalled for and unacceptable.

It wasn't intended as offensive, just humorous. If I caused offense then I genuinely apologise to you.
Regarding the misplaced posting on the alerts thread, again I apologise for my mistake.
Hopefully a line can be drawn under this now before it blows up into something all unnecessary.0 -
This is precisely why I have not made a contribution on here for ages! Instead I contribute somewhere else, where people are friendly and polite.Big_Graeme wrote: »Jeeze that is a big foot stamp from someone who hasn't made a contribution here for ages, mistakes happen live with it, I did.0 -

There is an app for that, if you have an iphone (there may even be a droid app too). Failing that try the local stationary shops they usually have themmatthewluck wrote: »Well I'm doing some pub head count jobs and Royal Mail have lost my counter!

Didn't someone say you weren't required to buy a tally counter now for the jobs, seeing as unless you could get one today/tomorrow in an actual shop (rather than online) it would be too late, and as they are desperate they are obviously getting less fussy!!
If that's the case, then contact them and say what happened, they can't really say anything. Or if you have a copy of the invoice emailed to you when you ordered it, so can send that to them as your receipt so you get reimbursed - just go and do the jobs without it.
Before anyone shouts at me for not doing exactly what the brief says - if the job had been picked up today the clicker wouldn't be required, so both MF and the client themselves must be happy for it to be done without one.Half of November Make £10 a Day Challenge: £51/ £1700
