Thankfully my local ignores the "rules" and is decked out with st George's flags everywhere.TractorGirl327 wrote: »And I wish they'd get their MF-ing system working properly - it is showing 35 jobs available for me and 202 screened out - and yet when I click on, say Retail where it says there are 2 jobs I see all the Paddy ones as well . Yes, only in England are you allowed to celebrate every other Saints Day, every other religion's holy days, but if you dare try to celebrate St Georges Day or - heaven forbid - fly a George Cross you are instantly labelled a racist.0

Actually a Welshman, kidnapped and sold as a slave to the High King of Ireland. Escaped, then returned to convert us all and drive the snakes (druids) out of Ireland. And I'm sure he didn't have tax or insurance either...Must find out how it made him feelThis was 6 months out of date so I've changed it.:j:j:j:j0

This annoys me almost as much as Americans who are "Irish" cause they know someone who went to Ireland like a bazillion years ago.
I always like it that Presidential candidates suddenly take to drinking Guinness and wearing shamrocks in order to suck up to the American Irish vote :rotfl:

I find it all slightly amusing..
On the note about St George, its the right-wing groups that have taken 'ownership' of the flag. Which is really sad as I think it has diluted St George's day for the vast majority of reasonable thinking British folk.
Are we gonna get in trouble for going off topic?
Im now off to shop a very British retail establishment for Bare...
Peace all.Well, you can tell by the way I use my walk

Had a call about an hour ago from MFers asking about the St Paddy's jobs. Lovely lady on the line, apologised for the time etc. Not able to assist so didn't get into details but maybe they will be allowing more than one to be done for those interested?
As far as I could tell the system blanked out the rest after you had booked two, although I managed to convince them to let me have 4 which are in a row and less than a mile apart.0

Depends on where you went to school. I was taught he was a Strathclyde Briton from Dunbartonshire but he could have been a Cumbrian or Welsh Briton. Definitely not English as they're Germans. :rotfl::rotfl:0
