Show of hands, whos drinking on the 17th rather than counting drinkers? Also turf accountants? Are we talking surf and turf here cause they are the only ones showing up for me.

Not me. You'd have to pay me triple figures to go into a pub for any reason after 5pm this saturday. Amateur night, plastic paddies, people puking guinness. (no offense meant to any irish people - I just don't get why people whose only connection to Ireland was a stag trip to Dublin decide to drink beer they'd never normally touch, to mark an event that has no relevance to them). No thanks!

I don't get why you have to be Irish or have any connection to Ireland to have a good night out? Go to the right place and it's a better night than New Year's Eve.

I used to enjoy going out on St Georges day before the PC police stopped us celebrating it! I find it strange that we are allowed to fly the flag of another country but yet we can't fly our own!

I really don't know how MF thought they were going to be able to cover all of those Pubs. I understand that they may well have thousands of MSers on their books but how many want to do that job? I haven't heard anyone on here speak positively about it? Would you like to go to the pub and count lots of people getting drunk? Nah i'll pass.

Anyway... hope everyone's having a good day and getting plenty of work :-)
And I wish they'd get their MF-ing system working properly - it is showing 35 jobs available for me and 202 screened out - and yet when I click on, say Retail where it says there are 2 jobs I see all the Paddy ones as well . Very annoying

Yes, only in England are you allowed to celebrate every other Saints Day, every other religion's holy days, but if you dare try to celebrate St Georges Day or - heaven forbid - fly a George Cross you are instantly labelled a racist.

This annoys me almost as much as Americans who are "Irish" cause they know someone who went to Ireland like a bazillion years ago.

Understood that much, was just wondering if this was a code for one of them. :p

I genuinely don't understand why it isnt celebrated over here.
