Mystery Shopping Thread 22 *PLEASE READ THE OP FIRST**PLEASE NO CLIENT NAMES OR FEES*

I am doing some of the phone jobs for TNS next week and I've not done them before. In the briefing notes it says that shoppers who have not previously done these will need to attend a 'phone briefing' for which they will be paid a fee of £x.
Does anybody know what's involved in this? Is it online or held locally somewhere?0 -
Also, are there particular companies that are recommended? I have read the thread and they all seem to have their good and bad points. I just wondered what experienced MS'ers think.
Finally, I'm based in Wales. Is there any particular company that has more jobs in Wales? I only ask as there seem to be some Scottish-based firms mentioned int he thread.
Many thanks.
I think Google is your friend here but there are also the previous 21 threads...
Because everyone only knows their own location & demographic, it's impossible to say. You just have to suck it and see.0 -

They send you an email with a number you have to call. They do a registration, run through the brief (how thick do they think shoppers are, mind you, the ones that I had on the trains call were not exactly clever!), do another registration at the end and it's all done. The fee for this is paid 2 months later. HTH.
Has everyone done their shops? I went out and did 15 yesterday. Well chuffed as I'm practically snowed in today!
PS. I'm loving the baguettes. Mmmmm.0 -

Thanks mimi, I wondered because I am going away for a few days in the week (Mopping up east anglia while I'm there) and didn't want to miss out on something compulsory if it was something I had to attend.
I cleared most of my jobs up yesterday. Have a few lined up for tomorrow but I am deliberating whether to go and do them now and give myself more packing time tomorrow. I have a long winded video job tomorrow too so I could do with clearing the rest up now. I don't like the look of all this fog though.0 -
Ha, I fly to Egypt on Wednesday morning and have not even found my suitcase yet!0

I have decided to cancel the two jobs I had today. Just think rude emails which they can not be bothered to sign company! Last year in a supermarket carpark it was chaos for some reason due to the snow (and we ended up directing traffic to get out!) and for the relative small fee on offer for the two jobs today I have for once thought "NO". The main roads are probably clear but to get onto the main roads is not worth it for the fee. I may be a wuss but I am not a stupid wuss, the cost of extra petrol and the thought of being stuck somewhere on a Sunday for the sake of a few pounds is enough to make me a big wuss!
Alas I shall await with glee for the rude email asking how dare I cancel jobs. Hee Hee.No Matter what you do there will be critics.0 -

I couldn't manage to do either of the times they had, so was called separately on the day I was doing them. Was very cold as I sat on the steps of a large cathedral while the questionnaire was gone through in minute detail. Got paid a couple of months later, although the phone jobs themselves were paid quicker.0 -
Anyone anywhere near Dundee? My road looks snow free but icy. How is the rest of it?
As I've got mobility probs I don't want to get stuck anywhere- only one supermarket is scheduled for today, but I was going to fit in some baguettes0 -

So it's a conference call and everyone has it have their names called out? Sounds like a data protection heaven. I like to keep my details covert thank-you...
think it will be a 1 on 1 call for me0
