Yes and yes. It was the first company I worked for.
They started out as a one man band, a great company to work for. Mainly Scottish work, hotels, bars, eateries. I understand they have nicked a pub chain from MCE.0 -

This would be a good place to start
there are many companies not listed, or talked about, as they do not wish to have their names mentioned for confidentiality reasons. SM are genuine though, but unless the company is asking you to pay for job details, or send western union its most likely genuine. Doesnt mean theyll have much work thoughHeavensDevil wrote: »Another stupid question time (sorry whitelabel!):
didnt think that a stupid question at all really, its not something you could learn from a brief or a thread if not an obvious question or search term and is the kind of thing that should be asked... im not the decider or stupid questions though... just have the odd vent now and thenWorkie_Ticket wrote: »2 hours in a car dealer, offered about 20 coffees, didn't have any, but got the price down to below What Car/Internet pricing. Didn't think I could do it.
2 hours !!!!!! ? think of your hourly rate...
never spent more than 40 mins negotiating but i think i would be walking out if they were keeping me that long without cutting some juicy deals lol. I did have to threaten to walk out of one after being kept waiting me waiting 30-40 mins. if you are doing any more, really try and push of a better deal harder quicker, your time is more valuable than that.0 -

Haha, I must admit, I certainly can't argue with the benefits of a good vent! I'm just a little paranoid, as I posted my last "stupid question" shortly before your moan last night. Whilst I hate to ask questions to which the answer is probably obvious, it is said there are no stupid questions, only stupid answers
and I don't think my particular question has been answered in the last year or so that I've been following this family of threads. But really - needing a receipt for a single stamp? (I can't see them offering me one, for one stamp...) Best do that bit after the main shop!

maybe blame the "person in accounts" who needs it for the petty cash float ?, or just ask, and not care what they think :rotfl:0 -
Hello, I would like to start MSing but I don't have a printer. A friend works for RE occasionally without a printer, makes notes before the visit and then completes the questionnaire online, but I wondered if there were any other companies where you could do this, or whether someone could tell me which companies would definitely require a printer so that I can steer clear. Thankyou.0

Anyone got an email address for an owner / top level director at ESA. I'm absolutely furious with one of the project managers. I had to cancel a job and was a few hours late submitting another due to my wife's grandfather almost collapsing in a car park earlier in the week. I caught him before he fell thankfully. Turns out he has a tumour on his brain which I advised the, admittedly gormless sounding, person on the other end of the phone who assured me there would be no issue with any of this. Today I received a rather rude email saying I shouldn't have picked up work I wasn't going to do on time? !!!!!!? Maybe I should check next time and make sure no one I know is suddenly going to start having seizures?
Hope he's okay.0 -

you can do that with most jobs and co's (except some where you reveal yourself and need a sig from the mos). just make sure you save an electronic copy of the qu and brief on your comp in case you need to refer to it at a later date.
tbh though if you want to do this you really could do with getting a printer. whilst you can copy out stuff and use that, it is a pain in the !!!! and will take you forever to do. i very occasionally on simple jobs just jot the details down to save printing (esp if theres lots of pics) but on a few occasions where my ink has run out and i dont have time to get more before a job, it is really annoying!!!:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j0 -
hi, I had to do a job for RE on Thursday which was to go to a large store and enquire about a certain product. When I got there I couldn't see such product so phoned the help number and was told to go back in and find out why the product wasn't there and when filling out report say visit was unsuccessful due to situation outside my control. I have not heard anything and when I try and query payment it says i am not linked with that job, do i still get paid as I went out of my way for that job and still had to go and ask about why the product was not there?Make £2012 in 2012 member 122- £104.34/£20120
