    From Asda.co.uk

What happens if I am overcharged?
If you have been overcharged in any of our stores we will gladly refund the difference (if you have been overcharged) and give you a £2 Gift card voucher for each product you have been mischarged for.

The CS Manager said that I should have been given the £2 giftcard and that the member of staff had not followed policy.
  • ASDA definitely does promotions at chinese new year (i have the "pleasure" of working in the counters department), we even get to wear silly hats :embarasse

My guess is half price meal deals and they're usually store-wide, although last year etc we gave out wee chinese dishes and chopsticks instead. On the matter of returning things, its a 200% refund from CS that they are authorised to give (ie a replacement item plus your money back), and every employee in the store has the discretion to give a "smiley voucher", which is up to the value of a pound i think, if the customer is unhappy. Your best bet with a smiley voucher is from counters or checkouts, shop floor employees dont usually carry them around, and ive definitely had to do some rummaging to find our booklet!

Also as its chinese new year, i wouldnt hold out for curries being half price too, unfortunately!
    Hope this helps :D

i never buy supermarket takeaway food, i always find it tastes all the same. much prefer from local chinese. or can anyone recommend a nice shop bought one for me to try?

valentines tommorow ASDA selected stores are selling a dozen sweetheart roses for only £2... you will probably need to camp out overnight to get a bunch though!
Just to win anything would be great!!

I've posted on this thread (see below) about the deal that M&S have on their Indian Takeaway box for £3.99.

What do you get for a meal deal? I've never had one. Is it enough for 2 people, or even three? Thanks.

    As advertised in papers today,

    "Meal Deal" for 2 £3 was £6

    e.g.

Chicken Sweet & Sour (1 portion)
Beef & Black Bean (1 portion)
    Egg Fried Rice (2 portions)
    Veg Spring Roll (1 portion)
    Prawn Toast (1 portion)
    Prawn Crackers (2 x 25g)

But you can mix & match your own menu at the counter
