Hope I posted this in the correct forum (Short term grabbit)
 It's Chinese New Year Sunday 18th Feb (Year of the Pig)
Kung hei fat choy! "Congratulations and be prosperous"
Well my OH was shopping in our local Asda store today and whilst waiting to be served at the curry counter, she overheard a member of staff telling a customer that all Chinese Meals would be half price next weekend as it's the Chinese New Year.
Any ASDA members out there to confirm? If so, any dates to when offer starts & finishes, Please?

Well, Here I am, an ASDA employee, reading this.
Unfortunately, I can't help you because I drive the Home Shopping vans and I've not seen anything about the promotion. (I try to rush through the shop to the warehouse, where the vans are, as quick as possible so I don't look a fool not being able to answer customers questions, which I then have to seek out a member of staff that can and then be late loading my van!)
I'm going shopping after work tonight so I'll wrap my coat around me and try to find out.

I was in my local Asda this evening (Manchester) and they were advertising this meal deal for half price at £3.
I purchased one but was charges £6 at the checkout. Went to CS and got my £3 refunded but then found out that they should have also gave me a £2 giftcard for being overcharged!
Contacted the store and the CS Manager apologized and said they would sort out a giftcard when next was instore.0 -

I read in a previous post (some time ago in these forums) that their policy was to give a card only if you had to return to the store to point out their error. Don't know if that is true, and if it is it's a bit silly, but maybe you have to walk out of the store and come back a bit later.Joe
