Business electricity - half hourly meter & costs

Hello,

Our business plans to install heat pumps for space and water heating and would require an increased capacity on the electrical supply, upped to 100kVA.

Do we require a half hourly meter or is it optional?
Does anyone have any examples of costs for the green, amber and red timings?

Anticipated annual spend is £18000.

There are 2 things here, mandated Advanced metering which records consumption half hourly to allow business to monitor their consumption which costs you no more then is mandatory hour hourly metering which is required for customer who maximum consumption is 100kW.
Which category do you think you will be in?

Scottish Hydro Electric, our DNO, make it sound mandatory but other conversations with potential suppliers have make me doubt this.

We are close to capacity on our current supply at around 85 kVA
