Hi
Have been with Scottish Power for dual fuel for 18 months, been very happy and even though energy costs have gone up, our DD has remained the same til now. Our DD has gone up £13pm. Just wanting to know, do they need to inform you if the DD is going up?
Also have not been keeping up with the latest news, is it better to switch and fix or switch to a variable or to stay with Scottish Power and negotiate a cheaper DD (if at all possible).
Thank you in advance.

DD rules require that you are given notice of an increase. That will either be a seperate communication or may be contained in your most recent bill.0 -

Use a comparison site, I use uSwitch, to see whether you should stay or go.0

Hi mayling03,
If we have increased your Direct Debit your should have been contacted prior to this happening. Also if you dispute the increase we can look at this for you. If you e-mail me your details to onlinecomplaints@scottishpower.com I can review this for you and confirm if you were notified (if so when) and also check the increase is accurate.
Kind regards
