DS - no doubt about it and spend £50 (about the price of thwo of the games listed above) ish on a supercard and memory card ...

Google "supercard DS ONE" for details...
  • The DS is definitely much better and your 6 year old will love it!

Yup, I'd go with the DS and the Big Brain Academy game - perfect for that age (or any age!!!!).

    Jxx
And it looks like we made it once again
Yes it looks like we made it to the end
  • Yet another vote for the DS, it's the business x

I bought my daughter a DS for xmas 2005 ( when she was 8 yrs old)..
It has been by far the best value toy she has ever had , as she has spent so much time playing on it..

There are lots of easy to play , cutesy games that are suitable for the under 8's

I am sure a 6 yr old would find the GB advanceSP much more difficult to play ( only having the keys ) . The games do not have the variety ( and ease of playing ) that the DS touch screen and microphone allow.
P.S Nintendogs is a must for kids of that age.

Yep buy a DS nothing to do with the fact thay are better but due to the fact if you buy the kid a GBA SP all her mates with a DS will take the !!!! out of her. What is the point of buying the older device when the new all singing and dancing one is available.

Im an older game player and I love the DS its retro gameing playing mario bros and mario kart again that I played back in the days of the Gameboy, NES and SNES and I will be buying Starfox asap as that was another game I played on the SNES. I now want to go get one of my Gameboys and play tetris.

And as phanco posted above there is the supercard and R4 carts making other stuff very easy to get in to.

Good choice - My 2 son 5 & 8 got them from Santa and love them - haven't looked at their Sp since ( think may have to Ebay them!) They Love Nintendogs, Mario Kart and Zoo Tycoon. I love the Brain Training.

  • DS!

You can play all the GBA games on it anyway. Check out gamestation for cheap GBA games.
  • The best price I found for a supercard ds one was 34.99 inc postage from
