Electric key meter question

Am with British gas and after someone came knocking from EDF, I found out that i am on Economy 7 tariff.
As the title states, i am on a key meter and want to stay that way (was with powergen in an old property and ended up in debt with them on a normal meter after they refused to increase our monthly payments, we knew we were getting into debt but they rufused to listen.)
My question is is whether i have to stay on econamy 7 (have no need to and sure i read that it is more expensive) as my heating is gas or if they can change it to a one rate tarriff?
Am getting through about £11 a week electric when using the tumble drier a max of three times a week and £8 a week when not using it.
I live in a two bed flat.
TIA for any replies

ask your supplier to change your meter if you use gas for heating and hot water! you should prob be on a single rate tariff0

Heya,
You shouldnt need to change your meter just your tarif so that all the units you use are charged at a different rate.
If you have a key meter they should be able to send an electronic message to it to chnge what is is charging you.
