Was the Fix right????

I fixed last October with Eon on a 2 year fix...

Given the current gas wholesale price reductions.... Was this fix the right move???

I will wait until all the companies reduce their prices and the see if swoping suppliers is sensible, given that I will have to pay to leave my current tariff...

You fixed your price after the last round of increases, so probably not given the current round of reductions. But, you weren't to know prices would go down again - unless you have a time machine? TBH my own feeling is that come next winter they'll up prices again, then reduce them a little after winter (in order to play the "good guys" marketing card). You're still fixed and know your budget, where as if you move you'll have to pay an exit fee and then probably commit to a contract with another supplier. I doubt the savings would ever be big enough to justify it.

Personally I fixed mine with EDF prior to their increase of 15% on Gas, so I'm still OK as they've only reduced their prices by 5% this time round - overall the price is still higher than when I fixed.
