PPI as a Student

Hello everyone!
I've been looking into possibly reclaiming some PPI charges, but it's a bit complicated as I'm not sure if I'm eligible, I wonder if anyone could shed some light?
Basically I've just realised I'm still paying PPI. I took out a credit card about 4 years ago & have been paying it since. I took the credit card out online so technically it wasn't missold. However 2 years ago I started full-time education, which I've learned means the policy isn't then valid. The bank were aware of this as I opened a student account with them.
Do you think I'd be entitled to claim back the PPI I've paid since being a student?
Any help/advice would be appreciated, cheers!

Hi Dan and welcome
Yes if you were a full time student at the time of when you taken this out and not employed at the same time for a certain amount of hours (check policy details if you have these), then you can of course make a reclaim.
However, I note you said you taken it out 4 years ago, so you may have been eligible then if say you were employed full time etc, so if this is the case maybe you can ask to make a reclaim from the time you were a student perhaps, but otherwise make a reclaim on the full ppi if that applies to you.
Good luck. The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Thanks for your reply!
I was employed at the time I took the card out, so there wasn't any of the traditional 'mis-selling' going on, it's just I've noted that PPI is not even valid as a student so I've been paying it while invalid.
Do you know how'd I'd go about trying to reclaim it, would I just go down the root that people do when they are missold it?0
