Gainsborough shower leak repaired

We had water pouring out of the bottom of our shower and thought we would have to replace it (which we couldn't afford) but on searching the net, we discovered that Gainsborough showers come with a small part that 'pops' to protect against flow surges. This was ordered online from Gainsborough at around £6 and was easy to fit and has saved us the hassle and cost of a new shower. I hope this info will be of help to someone, and save them some money too!

i believe its called a pressure relief (or release) valve. our triton shower comes with the same and over the past 5 years we have had to replace it twice.0
