E Cheque

Can i asked if the money wasent in a bank account when the e cheque was supposed to clear, would it try again for the funds !

  • I take it this is something from ebay? First and most importantly, contact your seller, let them know what is happening and see how they want to proceed.

    Paypal is the e-cheque, she can't apply again, but you can pay again with paypal who will attemp to take it from your bank account or card you have on file with them, it will then be classed as an e-cheque until it clears from your account. They tend to hold onto the funds for a few days to make sure it isn't reversed, this is why it takes about 10 days for the e-cheque to clear.

    I always thought thats when paying by e cheque it comes out of your bank straight away as soon as you go through paypal, some other items did i just brought !

  • Depends if you have a verified bank account or a debit card reistered. If you have neither it will go through as an e-cheque.

  • Has your card expired? Other than that I can't think of any reason why it would generate an e-cheque rather than an instant payment.

    It can do it completely randomnly. I buy a lot on ebay and can send say 10 payments and one in the middle will go as an echeque.
