i'd would definatly get a copy, and keep it in a secure place.just incase i ever wanted to take my employers to a tribunal for bullying and harrasement.
nobody besides hr should have any right to see your abscence records.0 -

I wouldn't do it myself because lets face it staff know whose been of for a long period of time but I wouldn't call it bullying either. The Googlewhacker referance is to Dave Gorman and not to my opinion of the search engine!
If I give you advice it is only a view and always always take professional advice before acting!!!
4 people on the ignore list....Bliss!0 -
Im far from a slacker - I've had 1 day sick in the last 5 years. I just felt it was rather unfair for those who have had no choice but to be off sick to be named and shamed.
But that's the point, people with genuine sickness will not be shamed, only the slackers!Life is too short to drink bad wine!0 -
But people you work with could quite easily keep a record of when you were off sick anyway so would know......it doesn't state the reason does it?0

it doesnt give the reasons or when just the persons name and how many days they had sick over the last year. But that's the point, people with genuine sickness will not be shamed, only the slackers!
in some ways I can see how it could work with stopping people calling in sick with a hangover or a little cold etc but for others who have had a serious illness (such as the guy who had a heart-attack and needed to take a few weeks off sick) it strikes me as mean and unsensative as people who dont work in the same department or know him will just see it as him as having 20+ days sick0 -
it's just how most bad companys work, they like to divide the workforce.make somebody think that somebody else is getting more or better treatment than you are.0

Persistent absence and slacking are not always the same thing!
true, but people generally know who is genuinely ill, and who isn't...
I used to come in the top 10 of the list due to kidney infections, but on the basis that I used to come to work even if I had a really bad cold (! - not popular, but life goes on!), then it was quite clear that when I didn't come in, it was because I physically couldn't!Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -

Yes, divide and rule, now where did I hear that phase recently..:o:o
If my name was on it, I would certainly kick up a fuss and contact ACAS0 -

Who would tell you that there was nothing you could do about it. Publishing a list of peoples sickness records is not a breach of employment law.0
