New deals only offering variable DD??

Having done a few comparisons the savings are definitely there, but looking into the small print, most if not all companies now want you to pay for the energy you use on a month by month basis. Am I having what my wife calls a "man-look"?

On a slightly different note, I started the switching process from Eon to first:utility which triggered a call from Eon who have offered me a mega deal plus £30 credited to my account, an energy monitor and a smart meter fitted FOC!! :rotfl:

Based on that I'd advise you all to call your current energy providers and haggle away, might be better than switching!!

Are you saying you got a call before or after the expiry of the "cooing-off" period?
