I was surprised to see the Hairy Bikers use little cling film parcels of lentils for baking blind recently. (Like little moneybags) I thought it would melt! Did anyone else see it as I'm wondering if they can be reused? The beautiful thing about learning is nobody can take it away from you.
Thanks to everyone who contributes to this wonderful forum. I'm very grateful for the guidance and friendliness that I always receive from you.

Yep.!
I tried it too and got the best result I've ever had. Said lentils are now clearly labelled and stashed away for the next time I need themHi, I'm a Board Guide on the Old Style and the Consumer Rights boards which means I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly and can move and merge posts there. I've got a pirex pie dish (abit difficult if the OP hasn't
) I use greaseproof paper first, then put the dish on top.

I've never used them, just make lots of holes with a fork and I find the pastry doesn't rise up in pastry cases.
Everyone's pastry is different though, I officially do almost everything wrong when I make it according to conventional advice and it comes out very good. If I follow typical popular advice it might as well be made with pollyfiller.0 -
