Santander account almost£300 over the overdraft...

Hi, just wondered if we can argue a case with Santander...
We don't use the account anymore and cancelled all the direct debits, except one :-(
Anyway we got charged for it bouncing, charged for going over the overdraft and every month now I they are charging £100.
We ARE willing to sort this out, they're now threatening doorstep collection.
But I was hoping we might be able to get them to cancel or refund some charges, which are basically charges on charges!
We will be offering £50 per month from end of January, and once the account is back in its limit we will throw what we can at it.
