What is DSO Exploit?

Everytime i run spybot, it tells me i have 4 of these DSO Exploit things, i fix them and all is well, but they reappear next time i do a scan.My PC is fine and goes like a train, so....
Have i got a spy on my computer somewhere. (i use ad-aware weekly)
or is it a virus :mad:
or is it nothing to worry about?

don't know what they are, but don't worry as they aren't a nasty, they appeared because of a bug in spybot.
Have you done all the updates BTW as I thought that spybot had fixed that bug.0 -
I don't think this is anything to worry about. One of the older versions of spybot incorrectly reported the DSO exploit even if your system was patched. You should update your version of spybot (and the definitions) to the latest version. Just in case your system is vulnerable you should also go to windowsupdate.com and ensure that all your patches and service packs are up to date.
It's good that you are running more than one spyware detector - have you thought about a third - Microsoft have an antispyware package for free download.Just had an email saying press release. Can someone tell me where the release key is?0 -
