Last night I ordered an exercise bike from Comet to be delivered on Sunday. Today I see that there is now £100 off said bike. Just looking for some advice on whether I should be able to cancel the order and re-order, or if I should phone up and ask for £100 off. Not sure which way is the best option.
Thanks

Phone them up and see what they say. If they are unable to give you £100, ask for them to cancel the order under DSR (Distance Selling Regulations), and then re-order it. However, this is only an option if you have the funds available to buy it again whilst waiting for your refund.
They are under no obligation to refund you the difference, but may do so.0 -
Thank you - phoned them and when I mentioned the price had gone down, the very helpful woman immediately said she'd credit my account with £100. Bonus!0

Always worthwhile asking as it is usually easier and cheaper for them (if the item has already been dispatched) to just reduce the price.
Of course sometimes you get companies who lack common sense and insist you cancel and re-order :SYou keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -

Comet - not a company which gets much positive feedback on here I think!0 -

Blimey. Good to see a company do something that's easier for all concerned. Especially a company with the reputation that Comet hasCompetition wins: Where's Wally Goody Bag, Club badge branded football, Nivea for Men Goody Bag0

Haven't they recently been bought out? Maybe new management better for customers.
