B&Q say law has changed, is this true??

You need to get an area manager or managing director's name and contact address and write them a letter.
Handwrite the envelope neatly (white, not brown) and mark it 'private and confidential'. Looks properly personal and gets to the right place every time. You may not get a personal reply but guaranteed the person they give it to will deal with it sympathetically when the boss tells them to.
Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Plumbworld are just the same. I bought a shower and after a deal of difficulty contacting them they said I had to return it to the manufacturer. I tried to argue my case but got fed up. One call to the manufacturer had a new part on its way the same day, delivered next morning. They said they were fed up with Plumbworlds trading methods.
I will never buy from Plumbworld again.Love living in a village in the country side0 -

I don't have any proof to back up my statement, but I do not believe that B&Q have to pay you for the cost of the plumber.
Call trading standards for confirmation.
If you are changing the shower for one that is the same, you won't be charged as much because the wiring and plumbing is exactly the same, it would take an hour or two at max.Well life is harsh, hug me don't reject me.0 -

I must admit that I can't find that anywhere. The DTI fact sheet is of the opinion that a court would consider that damages refer to the cost of the item.0 -
