Internet problem- have I got a virus?

    It's more likely they need the 32bit version.

    I had a quick look at the logs and looked like it was 64-bit...was only a quick look though ;)

    I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple :D
  • I've got the same problem - links from google not opening properly. I get shopping sites & advertising sites no matter what I have searched for or what link I am trying to get onto.

    I've done the combofix but still got the same problemback again - anyone got any ideas?

    Start a new thread of your own and post the contents of the combofix log.
  • C:\qoobox\quarantine\c\windows\system32\java.exe.vir -> C:\windows\system32\java.exe

    The problem seems to be fixed now and everything working ok so thank you very much waddler_8 and others for all your help. :)

    If everythings ok now, uninstall combofix & then we're done! :wink:

    Open a Run command box (Windows key + R) and copy paste this command in:

    ComboFix /uninstall


    Note the space between ComboFix and /uninstall , it needs to be there.

    Click OK

    let combofix uninstall itself.
